Water Treatment Survey Results

Hard water effects an espresso
machine’s ability to heat and operate by leaving mineral deposits behind which clog valves, outlets and
damage components. Minerals can significantly
i
ncrease a business’s operating costs.

Approximately half of our survey
participants reported that they
were unaware of the average level
of hardness in the water supplied
to their espresso machine.

Not all filters are designed to remove minerals
from your water.  Make sure to get appropriate counseling from your service technician or reputable water filtration provider familiar with espresso machine operation.

Not all service companies offer
water treatment

Your espresso repair technician
should be checking your water
hardness during your machine’s
preventative maintenance service,
and making you aware of high
mineral levels.
